Bolton 2-Day Dance Event Tickets NOW ON SALE

Monday, September 1st, 2008
TICKETS NOW ON SALE!!
Your Most Commonly Asked Questions About the 2-Day Northwest Dance Event:
  1. WHEN & HOW CAN I GET MY TICKETS?
Tickets are on sale now at http://www.stepup2fame.com/boltonevent - The Buy buttons will be removed once the places have all been filled. We are looking at selling a MAXIMUM of 100 places, but are focusing on limiting it at 80 people. If you REALLY need to buy tickets but cannot buy online then email me at
tony [[at]] phatmarketing.net or call me on 07737 866432.
  2. WHY IS IT £80??
Firstly, bringing Tim and his teachers up from London and putting them up in a hotel is not cheap.
Then there’s hiring a venue for two days.
Then hiring the cameras to film it.
Then the dvd editing and production.Note that these events are normally £40 per day without these cool bonuses of DVD, etc.
  3. WHAT WILL I LEARN?
    - You’ll learn awesome routines -(to tracks that you’ll know) so can dance at home, in the club, at school, wherever - people’s jaws will drop when you bust these routines out in front of them!
    - Valuable advice throughout the day, we’ve asked Tim to focus on helping you with tips on remembering routines (cos in the survey that was one of the biggest problems most of you said you had)
    - Q&A - on the second day, there’s a part of the day where we get together and have a Q&A with Tim and the other dancers where you get to ask them questions to do with the industry, things like ‘how do I get spotted’, ‘any tips for creating unusual routines’, ‘what competitions are out there’, career advice - anything you like (so get thinking about good questions now!)
    - You become more confident in your dance.
    - This is also a great opportunity to get together with like-minded peopole and network - lots of people have been talking about putting together dance crews - well, this way you get to see each other and talk about it and do it!
  4. IS ACCOMMODATION INCLUDED?
No. If you need a recommendation for somewhere good to stay, let me know -email me tony [[at]] phatmarketing.net
  5. HOW GOOD A DANCER DO I HAVE TO BE?
You will need some experience in dance, as this event is not for raw beginners - you will also need to be fairly fit, as you will be dancing quite a lot over the two days.
  6. WHAT AGE LIMITS APPLY?
The minimum age is around 12, as the event is physically demanding. There is no maximum age limit, but I’m guessing pensioners might find it a bit TOO hard … ; )
  7. HOW MANY PLACES ARE THERE?
I’m not trying to put any pressure on you, but we’re limiting the amount of peole who are attending to way less than 100 people, closer to about 80 - this means it’s a better learning evironment for you.
As you might know there’s a LOT more people than that on the mailing list, but I’d really like you to be there, so I’m trying to give you as much information about the event, now, upfront so you can go ahead and make your decision to get your tickets.
  8. WHAT DO I GET FOR MY MONEY?
    EVERYONE WHO ATTENDS GETS:
    - 2 Days intensive dance tuition with Kylie’s choreographer and his teaching staff.
    - Group Q&A Session with Tim and the staff
    - Certificate of attendance
    - 2 Hip-Hop Album Download links (each album has about 25 songs on) PLUS exclusive Ayo Technology Remix
PLUS! THE FIRST 40 PEOPLE TO BUY ONLINE GET:

    - Free attendance to ANOTHER dance workshop - for the first 40 people to buy online (deposit or full amount). Date for second workshop to be confirmed - will be taught by Melissa Pasquill plus guest teacher. Styles Covered: Jazz (Fosse, Lindy-hop, rock n roll, etc) and Street.
  9. I HEARD GEORGE SAMPSON WAS GOING TO BE THERE?
He was invited, here’s our official word on it:

“We are delighted to announce that George Sampson’s Dance Crew A2AA have been invited, and some of them will be taking part in the classes. Unfortunately George’s work schedule means he cannot officially attend, but his sister Rosie will be dancing. We would love him to pop in and say hi if he’s back from London in time, but we appreciate things are very hectic for him right now.”
  10. HOW LONG WILL TICKETS BE ON SALE FOR?
Tickets will be on sale online from Midnight on Fri 29th August, and will stay available until either:
    a. We sell out of places (aiming for 80 but MAXIMUM 100)
    b. the event takes placeDom at streetdancers.co.uk is goign to tell his whole community when the tickets go on sale
(which is understandable as A2Aa will be there and one of the members is his son)The streetdancers.co.uk community has 1100 members, and along with:
    facebook stepup2dance group- 223 members

Melody Pop - Winners All The Way!

Thursday, June 5th, 2008

dothelambrini.co.uk web site featuing the Melody Pop Dancers!!

so you remember Melody pop was entered into the “Do the Lambrini” competition? (see post HERE)
well they didn’t win… but actually got something BETTER than winning - a glowing report on www.lambrini.co.uk! (if you visit, head to the Kirsty Doyle page)

The final decision, made by ’Project Catwalk’ winner Kirsty Doyle*, basically says that even though they were not the winners, the Melody Pop dancers were the favourites and if they need a dance troup to perform the lambrini then they’ll be in touch!!!
(*Original Judge Cilla Black was changed)

Melissa says it’s BETTER THAN WINNING the night out in London, as it proves that the Melody Pop dancers and routines are the best out there! (The lucky winners captured the ‘lambrini girls just wanna have fun’ ethos by having a pajama party and having a laugh! - well done to them, we wish we were there when they’d recorded it!)

The Melody Pop Dancers have also been selected to be PIT GIRLS for a particular car racing team (more info after deal is finalised) - what are pit girls? Think cheerleaders for racing car teams, and also think dance routines on SKY SPORTS!!

So along with those two reasons and also this sunday’s session with KYLIE’S CHOREOGRAPHER (Tim Noble) coming up, we’re more proud than ever to be Melody Pop - WINNERS ALL THE WAY!!
