JORDAN BRIDGE ,one of our very talented teachers, is off to Shanghai in China on Friday the 3rd September for seven days to perform with The English National Ballet. Jordan is currently in his final year studying BTEC & A level Dance at Pendleton College.

We would like to wish Jordan every success and can’t wait to see the photos.

ZUMBA Fitness Dance is the new Craze!!!

Starting on the 15th November will be havng regular Zumba Classes with a Fully Qualified Zumba Teacher. Zumba is a form of Dance & Keep Fit and has hit this country so much so that classes are full to the brim and teachers cannot fit enough lessons in.

If you are interested in the Zumba Classes for 16years and over then please email your details as these classes are on a first come first serve basis.

Aaron Jordan will be appearing live at the Printworks, Manchester on Saturday 21st August alongside Twist & Pulse from Britain’s Got Talent.

Aaron will be performing his new single “Vanished”. This is a superb opportunity for Aaron and we wish him all the success in the world.

If you have to time please go and support Aaron, the even starts at 2.0pm prompt and is the final of “DANCING IN THE STREET” which is being judged by Twist & Pulse.

DISCO FREESTYLE CLASSES

Freestyle Dance teaches students to express themselves freely to the pop/dance music of today. It can be danced individually, in pairs and in groups covering a range of dances & styles. Disco Freestyle dance requires energy & body movement so warm up sessions are essential and always included within each lesson. All forms of dance under the term ‘Disco Freestyle’ are possibly the best way of general exercise so it’s good for keeping you fit!

We will be aiming to develop our very own Team and for each student to enter Freestyle Competitions covering all forms of dance including Rock ‘N’ Roll, Street and Contemporary/Slow Dance so commitment is vital but at the same time extremely rewarding.

Chloe Pownall

Chloe Pownall 13 year old Singing Sensation will release the song GOODBYE MY FRIEND in aid of The Carly Fund.

Chloe’s talent has now invited a lot of attention from Radio to TV and Chloe will preform the Single on the launch date at the Monaco Ballroom in Wigan to a full house.

We would like to thank Linda Ronstadt for her kind permission to release this single.

FINBARR-SMITH TAKE FIRST PLACE IN POPSTAR TO OPERA STAR FOR ANGLIAN

AFTER many weeks of searching through video and recordings Tony Finbarr-Smith was selected as one of the Top contestants for Popstar To Operastar that has been running by Anglian in conjunction with the TV series. After being selected and passing through the rounds, we are proud to let everyone know that Tony came out on top and was Crowned the winner. Bigger and better things are now happening for him and we are ALL very proud of his achievement, it is always nice to see someone who REALLY deserves the opportunity to better himself in an honest and productive way.

CHLOE TAKES FIRST PLACE IN PRO-COMP

CHLOE POWNALLtook first place in a Competition aimed at Professional Singers. Chloe who is a student at Melody Pop has been going through the rounds over the last two months and on Saturday she walked away with first place. Although Chloe is only 13 and not a professional singer, we thought it would be great experience for her and she has proved that she definitely has the talent. Her final performance was rated by the Judges (who are professionals in their own field such as producers etc) as TOP CLASS and they where stunned to hear the maturity of the voice from a Chloe at such a young age. The songs performed on the evening where, Bad Boy’s (Alexandra Burke). Summertime (Leona Lewis) and Footprints In The Sand (Leona Lewis).

Well Done Chloe !!!

MELODY POP TAKING CENTRE STAGE AT FARNWORTH ARTS FESTIVAL

FARNWROTH ARTS FESTIVAL: was again a massive hit last week-end and seeing around 10,000 people, it was a great privilege for Melody Pop Tuition to host the Main Stage and perform throughout the day. Other invited organisation’s where Harper Green Secondary School, George Tomlinson Secondary School and Orr Theatre Dance School. The comments and calls we have received via email have been wonderful and we would like to thank EVERYONE who took part in the day’s events. It was as they say a “Massive Success”.

The day also brought the launch of our new school uniform and logo, which was designed from ideas of students at Melody Pop Tuition. A great big THANK YOU has to go to Michelle Sheree the artist for the final design and also the Arts Festival Committee.

We are really looking forward to next year and hope that it is even BIGGER & BETTER…

MELODY POP PERFORMS IN FRONT OF THOUSANDS !!

Farnworth Arts Festival takes place on Sunday 19th July and with Melody Pop running the centre stage, we are looking to perform in front of between 6 – 10 thousand.

We also have the Launch of the New Logo which was designed by Michelle Sheree, who came up with the design after spendng time with the students doing painting and drawing. From thos sketches came the logo below.

We hope that you can join us and have some fun. The event starts are 11am until 5pm and there are hundreds of things to do.
