  • What can I say, having been a student and worked as a semi-professional singer with Melody Pop Tuition, I find the team friendly, professional and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.  Their attitude and focus is one of pure dedication to ensure that the best is brought out of every student.  What is evident is the years of experience that Jean, in  particular has within the music industry and ensures that the business is kept up to date with current legislative policies.  Jean and Mel, give opportunities for individuals / groups to reach their potential, and instill confidence and belief in every student, from the youngest to the more mature student!

Melody Pop has also worked with me in my professional capacity for Bolton at Home, delivering summer workshops to young people living on estates throughout Bolton, who would not normally  have the opportunity to attend dance, acting or singing lessons.  By getting involved in these workshops communities have benefited by their children achieving a sense of self awareness, built up confidence, being creative and to then perform in front of their peers is a massive achievement, especially when there are ‘hard core’ issues on their estate.  The quality performances, raise community spirits and the aspirations of young people who would otherwise be hanging around and potentially causing a nuisance, even just for one day, gives them a feeling of importance and how they can contribute to society as a whole.It is great to see the team at Melody Pop in action and a pleasure to watch Mel and her dancers, they bring a smile to your face and on occasions, if you’re like me ‘tears of joy’.

Hi Jean,

It was good to see yourself and Melissa last night having been away for a few weeks. With regards Joshua, he has advanced incredibly under the guidance and tuition of Melissa. Vocal and dance training with Melissa has helped to develop his stage confidence, overall performance, diction and general maturity in addition to advancing his vocals and presence on stage. This is reflected in his exam results, his recent success in Paris and his performance for Bolton Premier Productions as Tiny Tim in Scrooge and the Remembrance Service at the Albert Halls. If 2009 is as busy and fulfilling as 2008 it will be a good year. As you know Jessica has also now started Street Dancing along with Joshua and they both look forward to their Tuesday sessions. Please pass on our sincere thanks to Melissa (Vocal & Dance Training), Vicky (Dance Training) and Tony (Recording Studio) for all their support during 2008.

On behalf of my son Alex aged 16 who has been having singing lessons with Jean for the past few months I can only say what a fantastic teacher she is, he has gone from strength to strength under her tuition and now has no qualms about performing on stage.  He has also done a couple of talent shows at Layton Institute in Blackpool and came second place in the last one and is now through to the next round.  Everywhere he goes he has positive comments about his singing ability, he really enjoys his lessons and has a very good rapport with Jean.  The atmosphere at Melody Pop Tuition is always relaxed and friendly and I would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of taking singing or dancing lessons.

I have been singing at Melody Pop Tuition for three and a half years. At the beginning I joined because I have asthma and thought it would help with my breathing, also because I have always enjoyed singing. My breathing is better and my voice has improved. 

 

Jean has been my tutor ever since I started and has given me tremendous support at all times. I have sung in concerts along with other members of the studio, which Jean, and her daughter Melissa arranged, we all had great fun.

 

I have passed all exams I have taken with distinctions, this has improved my confidence and I am ready now to take my next exam in the New Year. 

 

 This has spurred me on to hopefully reaching the dizzy heights of passing my teaching certificate and helping others the way Melody Pop Tuition has helped me.    Thank You Melody Pop.

What a splendid experience to begin to learn the art of singing.  I’m now able to confidently sing at karaoke’s and take on new songs myself.

 

I’m completely hooked and I’ll be putting aside time for some more tuition soon, perhaps after I’ve quit smoking!

I’ve attended singing lessons at Melody Pop Tuition for 18months now and during this time have taken grades 5 & 6, achieving distinction in both, I most certainly could not have achieved this without the excellent training, friendly teachers and enthusiastic environment. Singing has been fantastic and I have really enjoyed learning the correct techniques and building up my confidence.
